The flexible balcony awning as an all-rounder
Thanks to its compact design, we would like to highlight our BASELINE as a true balcony awning. Due to its flat construction and the support tube located behind the fabric roller, this awning is ideally suited for ceiling mounting in sheltered areas.
The highlight is the variable tilt adjustment via hand crank. This allows you to flexibly and quickly adjust the awning to any position of the sun, while also protecting yourself from prying eyes.
From open folding arm awnings to full cassette awnings: The right technology for your balcony
Depending on the building structure and weather conditions, different awning systems are suitable for a balcony. Choosing the right technology is crucial for durability and comfort. We generally distinguish between three main types:
Open folding-arm awnings: This is the basic solution where the fabric roller and folding arms remain visible when retracted. This design is the most attractively priced and is ideally suited for balconies that are already well protected by a large roof overhang or an overhanging balcony. If the fabric and mechanism are hardly exposed to rain or dirt anyway, this type already offers complete sun protection comfort.
Semi-cassette awnings (also known as cassette awnings) are a popular middle ground. With this type, the awning fabric is protected from above and the sides by an elegant cassette when retracted. Only the folding arms remain exposed below the cassette. This option is ideal for most balconies, as the delicate fabric is effectively protected from rain and dirt from above, significantly extending its lifespan.
Cassette awnings (full cassettes): The cassette awning is the premium solution for balconies, offering the best possible protection. When retracted, an elegantly designed, completely enclosed cassette surrounds the fabric and the folding arms. This system is the best choice for balconies that are heavily exposed to the elements (e.g., on the weather side). Furthermore, the full cassette offers a very modern, clean look, as all the mechanism is invisibly concealed.
