Athene Freeline is a unique, innovative eye-catcher and is designed for use as a freestanding shade for terraces, cafés, and beer gardens. Athene Freeline not only provides sun protection and thermal comfort, but also enhances any outdoor seating area with a unique design element.
MOBAU FREELINE – the freestanding awning with roof-mounted system
The MOBAU FREELINE is the ideal solution when independent shading is required – without wall or façade connection. The sturdy aluminum construction supports an ATHENE roof-mounted awning, allowing flexible shading of large areas.
Design & Construction
The robust, powder-coated aluminum support structure is freely erected on two uprights and forms the basis for the MOBAU ATHENE rooftop system. This allows the FREELINE to be individually tailored to the location and intended use.
A foundation is essential for mounting the two uprights!

Freestanding construction – no building attachment required
Combination with MOBAU ATHENE or ATHENE ZIP roof awnings
Widths up to 5 m and projections up to 5 m (depending on the fabric)
Self-supporting box protects the fabric and facilitates installation
Electric motor as standard, optional radio or smart home operation
Powder-coated aluminum profiles in standard colors white (RAL 9016), gray/silver (RAL 9006), anthracite (RAL 7016) fine structure
Comfort & Options
The FREELINE can be equipped with sensors for wind, sun, and rain to ensure maximum safety and comfort. Integrated LED lighting is also available, perfectly illuminating the outdoor area even in the evenings.
