When does it make sense to install a roof-mounted awning?
A roof-mounted awning is the best choice if a conservatory or glass roof needs to be effectively protected from heat.
Because the awning is positioned over the glass, it blocks the sun's rays before they even reach the glazing. The glass itself doesn't heat up, and the interior remains significantly cooler.
Installation is particularly useful if :

Important information regarding use and application
Since roof-mounted awnings are permanently exposed to the elements due to their installation, monitoring via weather sensors (wind, sun, rain) is absolutely necessary.
If the awning is also exposed to rain, controlled water drainage must be ensured at a minimum incline of 14°.
If this inclination is not possible, the use of water-permeable fabrics (e.g. Ferrari Soltis Perform 92) is recommended to avoid waterlogging and damage to the fabric.

Technical Highlights
Freestanding roller box
All models are equipped with a self-supporting roller box that reliably protects the fabric from the weather and requires no additional fastening – a plus for easy installation.
Counter tension & fabric tension
MOBAU roof-mounted awnings utilize a counterweight made of high-performance aramid fiber webbing, which is extremely tear-resistant and has low stretch. A spring mechanism in the fabric roller ensures consistently even fabric tension.
