Note: The choice of color for your awning fabric design not only has a significant visual impact but also influences the comfort and protective function of your awning. Detailed information on UV protection, yarn quality, and the cleaning of acrylic fabrics can be found in the following videos.
Regarding heat protection : For folding-arm awnings , cassette awnings , and under-glass awnings, dark fabrics offer better heat protection than light fabrics, as dark fabrics store and absorb heat energy. The opposite is true for shading and sun protection systems mounted in front of or over glazing, such as roof-mounted awnings. Lighter fabrics offer more effective heat protection here due to better reflection. Further detailed information can be found here >
enlightenment
Awning fabrics are high-performance products. However, given the current state of manufacturing technology and environmental protection requirements, there are limits to their perfection. We feel obligated to inform our customers about occasional occurrences as part of our consumer education efforts. Such occurrences in no way diminish the value or usability of the awning.
ripple

Awning fabrics are generally sewn from panels approximately 120 cm wide. When sewn together, an upper and a lower layer of fabric are created in the seam and hem areas. When the awning fabric is rolled up, tension builds up between these layers. Due to the thickness of the fabric (approx. 0.5 mm), the upper layer has to travel a longer distance than the lower layer when rolled up – this difference in length is already 3.14 mm with one rotation of the roller tube. Over the entire rolled-up length of the fabric, the seams and the side hem are overstretched. This leads to sagging in this area – the fabric becomes wavy here. This unavoidable effect has no impact on the quality, function, or lifespan of the fabrics.
Creases

Creases occur during the manufacturing and folding of the awning fabric. Especially with light colors, this can lead to surface effects (pigment shifts) in the creases, which appear darker (like dirt streaks) when backlit. These do not diminish the value or usability of the awning.
Chalk effect

...are light streaks that occur during processing on finished fabrics and cannot always be completely avoided even with the greatest care. Therefore, they are also not a reason for complaint.
Honeycomb formation

Awning fabrics are sewn in the direction of projection so that the tension acts on the warp threads. These are woven more densely than the weft threads to optimally absorb the tensile forces. This creates – depending on weather conditions and fabric size – the honeycomb effect. This effect is intensified by unfavorable light incidence, light, solid-colored designs, or moisture, especially when the fabric is retracted wet. The honeycomb effect can extend to the center of the fabric. This effect has no impact on the quality, function, or lifespan of the fabrics. These effects occur to varying degrees in almost all awning fabrics.
