MOBAU HORIZON side awnings are the elegant solution for increased privacy and lateral sun protection in outdoor areas. They reliably protect against unwanted views and low-angled sunlight from the side, where conventional awnings often fail to provide sufficient shade.
Thanks to their flexible designs – as a straight system or as the sloping HORIZON Slope variant – they adapt perfectly to terraces, balconies or patio roofs.
Ease of use - MOBAU side awning
The MOBAU HORIZON is designed to not only provide reliable protection, but also to be safe and convenient to use:
Backstop brake – prevents the fabric from snapping back uncontrollably and ensures smooth, safe rolling.
Child safety lock on the pull bar – protects against unintentional release of the awning, more safety in everyday family life.
Guide roller on the pull profile (optional) – facilitates pulling out, reduces the effort required and protects the fabric through even guidance.
Two designs at a glance
MOBAU HORIZON – straight system
The classic design for patios, balconies, or gardens. The fabric is pulled out of the box by hand and hooked into the holder at the front. An integrated backstop ensures a smooth, controlled retraction into the box.
Maximum projection up to 400 cm
Optional GRP stiffeners for increased stability in vertical assembly.
Optional floor roller on the pull bar for easier handling
Removable ground pole for flexible space utilization
MOBAU HORIZON Slope – inclined slope
This version is designed for use on patio roofs or sloping awning structures. The fabric runs diagonally, adapting perfectly to the roof pitch. This allows the Slope version to offer customized protection from the sun coming from the side – even where conventional side awnings are insufficient.
Design & Construction
Fabric reinforced with integrated GRP rods for even tension and improved wind load resistance. Compact awning cassette – reliably protects the fabric from the elements.
