MOBAU HORIZON – Side awning as a straight system
The MOBAU HORIZON in its straight design is the elegant solution for privacy and lateral sun protection . It reliably protects against unwanted views and low-angled sunlight from the side , where conventional awnings don't provide sufficient shade. This transforms the patio, balcony, or garden area into a sheltered haven of comfort.
Design & Operation
The HORIZON impresses with its sleek, modern design and compact housing, in which the screen is safely and securely rolled up. Operation is convenient and simple:
The fabric is pulled out of the box by hand.
The end strip is hooked into the holder at the front.
An integrated backstop prevents the cloth from snapping back uncontrollably, ensuring additional safety and comfortable handling.

Reinforcement with GRP rods
For added stability, the fabric panels of the MOBAU HORIZON side awning can be reinforced with integrated GRP rods . These ensure even tension , reduce wrinkling, and increase the wind resistance of the system – especially in large areas.
REVERSE BRAKE:
The MOBAU HORIZON side awning comes standard with a retraction brake . This ensures that the fabric retracts smoothly and in a controlled manner into the cassette. This prevents sudden snapping back, which increases ease of use and protects both the fabric and the mechanism .
Standard equipment includes child safety lock
The MOBAU HORIZON side awning comes standard with a child safety lock on the pull bar. This prevents the awning from being unintentionally released and ensures that the fabric can only be unlocked deliberately – for greater safety in everyday family life .

HORIZON side awning installation:
The MOBAU HORIZON can be flexibly adapted to various structural conditions:
Wall mounting – classic attachment of the box to a house wall or facade (wall bracket included).
Ground mounting with mast – stable stand thanks to mast with base plate, concrete sleeve or lawn spike.
Balustrade mounting – securing the mast to a balcony or terrace balustrade.
Side mounting – optional side mounting of the cassette or the handle holder using special brackets.
Optional equipment: HORIZON side awning
The MOBAU HORIZON offers even greater ease of use and stability with the optional floor roller on the pull bar . When the awning is extended, the pull bar runs smoothly along the floor roller – this ensures even fabric guidance, facilitates handling, and reduces stress on the fabric.
The MOBAU HORIZON can be equipped with a removable ground pole , offering even greater flexibility. The ground pole serves as a stable support for the tension bar, ensuring secure hold even with larger projections. When the awning is not needed, the pole can be quickly and easily removed – leaving the area unobstructed and free of any obstructing components.
Operating the MOBAU HORIZON
The MOBAU HORIZON is operated simply and conveniently by hand : The fabric is pulled out of the side of the cassette and hooked onto the designated bracket or the ground pole. An integrated return brake ensures a smooth and safe retraction into the cassette.
