Design & Construction

The semi-circular cassette of the ATHENE XS 120 R reliably protects the awning fabric from the elements and gives the awning a timeless, harmonious appearance. Its compact design makes it particularly suitable for small to medium-sized glass surfaces without obstructing the light. A front ventilation gap ensures continuous air exchange between the awning fabric and the glass. This effectively reduces heat build-up under the glazing, ensuring a comfortable indoor climate even on warm, sunny days.

The self-supporting roller box does not require any additional fastening – this greatly simplifies installation.

Equipped as standard with a reliable electric motor for switch operation, the ATHENE XS 120 R can optionally be controlled via radio remote control or via smart home systems.

Color variety & customization

The housing and guide rails are powder-coated in the standard colors white (RAL 9016), silver (RAL 9006), and anthracite grey FS (RAL 7016). All RAL colors and DB 701-704, as well as various surface textures (smooth, matte, or finely textured), are available upon request.

Reliable, highly durable counter-pull system

Due to its horizontal mounting position, a pergola awning requires a counter-tension system that redirects the rotations of the winding shaft forward, transporting the fabric forward without relying on gravity and maintaining even tension. This counter-tension is generated by a spring mechanism within the fabric shaft. The redirection of the counter-tension is achieved via a high-performance webbing made of aramid fibers with a breaking load exceeding 400 kg.

The ATHENE XS 120 R can also be used as a facade awning up to a maximum width and height of 400 cm. This is also possible with a vertically sloping orientation, as the extension and retraction of the fabric is independent of gravity.

The ATHENE XS 120 R can be operated via standard 230 V motor and switch operation or radio motor 230 V hand transmitter and Smart Home.
