The MOBAU OMS Seil is an elegant vertical awning with a round cassette that blends harmoniously into various facade styles. Thanks to its slim design with a round cassette measuring 120 mm high and 138 mm deep, it is ideal for windows and balconies where discreet sun protection is desired.

Construction & Guidance
The awning features a cable-guided fabric system . The fabric runs laterally along delicate stainless steel cables, creating a light and almost floating appearance. The weighted bottom rail ensures reliable fabric tension at all times.

Fabric selection
A selection of high-quality screen fabrics from leading manufacturers (e.g., Serge Ferrari, Sattler Twilight, or Copaco) is available. Depending on their transparency, these fabrics offer excellent sun, UV, and heat protection – from slightly translucent to blackout.

Operation & Comfort
The OMS cable system comes standard with a motor drive and can be optionally equipped with radio control or smart home systems . Automated controls with sun and wind sensors are also available to ensure maximum ease of use and safety. Alternatively, manual operation is possible with an internally routed crank handle.

Design & Colors
The round cassette gives the awning a particularly elegant, soft look. The cassette, bottom rail, and cable fixings are powder-coated and available in the standard colors white (RAL 9016), silver (RAL 9006), and matte anthracite gray (RAL 7016). All RAL special colors and DB 701-704, as well as various surface textures (smooth, matte, fine texture), are available as options.

Spring-loaded rope tensioning system – permanently taut fabric guidance

The innovative spring-loaded cable tensioning system of MOBAU vertical awnings ensures consistently even and secure fabric tension – even under changing weather conditions.

The laterally guided stainless steel cables are equipped with an integrated spring mechanism. This keeps the fabric permanently taut and allows it to adapt flexibly to movements, wind, or temperature fluctuations. The result: a smooth, stable fabric position and a long lifespan for the awning.
