UV protection through awnings – enjoy safely in sun and shade

Why UV protection is so important
UV rays penetrate even when the sky is slightly cloudy
Skin aging and sunburn are caused by excessive UV exposure
UV radiation can increase the risk of skin diseases
Furniture, floors and textiles fade faster in the sun

Awnings as UV protection
MOBAU awnings not only provide shade, but also offer reliable UV protection. With our special awning fabrics and the fabrics from the "The World of Sattler" collection, the rays are filtered and significantly reduced. This way, you can create a safe outdoor retreat while protecting your interior from sun damage.
Safely under your MOBAU awning
Sunlight is pleasant and important for our health – but invisible UV radiation poses risks. Whether it's skin damage, sunburn, or the fading of furniture: Too much UV exposure can have consequences. With a high-quality MOBAU awning, you can enjoy the sun worry-free. It provides shade , filters out dangerous radiation, and ensures greater safety on the patio, balcony, and in the house.
UV protection depends on skin type and UV filter of the awning fabric

A UV protection factor of 80 means that the awning fabric blocks 99.75% of harmful UV rays – only 1/80 of the radiation penetrates. This extends the skin's natural protection time by a factor of 80. For example: If someone with skin type II (light skin) has a natural protection time of approximately 10 minutes, they can theoretically stay in the sun for up to 800 minutes under a fabric with UV 80 before getting sunburned.
It should be noted that the actual protection is also influenced by lateral sunlight, reflections from water, glass, or light-colored facades, as well as the time of day. However, a UV 80 awning fabric offers one of the highest possible textile UV protection values and ensures maximum safety during extended stays outdoors.
